What this is
Find Land Surveyor is a national directory that helps property owners find professional land surveyors in their county. Listings are reviewed from publicly available firm information, official licensing sources where available, firm websites, and owner corrections. The directory covers boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, elevation certificates, topographic surveys, construction staking, and subdivision plats.
How firms get listed
Firms appear in the directory through one of two paths:
- Public records compilation. State licensing databases, public business records, and firm websites are aggregated into county-level listings. License information are displayed when we have a high-confidence match.
- Profile claims. Surveyors can claim their existing listing for free. Claimed profiles get a claimed-profile badge, custom description, website link, and direct estimate routing.
Editorial standards
- Only private firms that appear to offer land surveying services are listed.
- Equipment vendors, instrument dealers, and supply firms are excluded by name pattern.
- Rankings are based on objective signals: license information, profile completeness, client reviews, and Google rating count.
- There is no paid placement. Featured profiles are clearly labeled where they exist.
- Inaccuracies are corrected on request, free of charge, regardless of claim status.
Who runs it
Find Land Surveyor is owned and operated by Nathaniel Peters. The directory is independent and is not affiliated with any state licensing board, professional association, lead generation network, or surveying firm.

Why this directory exists
Most existing surveyor directories are pay-to-rank lead networks that charge surveyors per inquiry and gate basic information from property owners. Find Land Surveyor is built on the opposite premise: every phone number visible, every license verifiable, every claim free, and every estimate routed directly between property owner and surveyor with no intermediary.
About Find Land Surveyor
Who runs Find Land Surveyor?+
Find Land Surveyor is run by Nathaniel Peters. The directory is independently owned and operated, and is not affiliated with any state licensing board or surveying association.
How do firms get listed in the directory?+
Listings are compiled from publicly available business records, state licensing databases where available, firm websites, and other public discovery sources. Firms can claim their profile for free and update their information at any time.
Do you charge surveyors to be listed?+
No. Listing is free, and claiming a profile is free. The directory does not run pay-to-rank placement, lead auctions, or per-lead fees. Rankings are based on objective signals like license information, profile completeness, and client reviews.
How do you verify that surveyors are licensed?+
Where state licensing data is available, individual professionals or firm registrations are matched to active license records by strong signals such as firm name, phone, domain, location, or licensing-board affiliation. If we cannot make a high-confidence match, no Licensed badge is displayed.
How do I report an inaccuracy?+
Email nathaniel@findlandsurveyor.com with the URL of the page and a description of what needs correcting. If you are the firm owner, claiming your profile gives you direct edit access to most fields.
